View<myWorld>: Behind the Scenes
Posted Friday, September 05 2008 by The JobsBloggers
One of my big projects in the last year has been the View<myWorld> websites. I think View<myWorld> is unique because it really does give you a glimpse of what it's like to work at Microsoft. And as the keeper of the site, I can vouch for its authenticity.
But did you know we have a family of View<myWorld> sites now! (Franchising ... that was my job.) :) We still have one about Microsoft in general ... and then ones for a few of our major product divisions and locations: Corp R&D, Entertainment & Devices, Microsoft Business Division, Platform & Services, Server & Tools, and Microsoft Silicon Valley. For a former yearbook geek like me, this project was right up my alley.
During the initial creation of the site in the summer of 2007, we shot some footage of our photo shoot. I'm not in this particular video, but you can see what my life was like for a few weeks. It's not always this glamorous though. :) (By the way, the picture to the right is of Ariel and me goofing around during this year's photo shoot.)
Want to "be the code" like the employees on View<myWorld>? Check out the View<ourWorld> section of our Facebook page ... and hey, upload your own pictures or videos if you like. :)
